Rituals has opened its fabulous new store at The Square Shopping Centre in Camberley, bringing a fantastic addition to the centre’s retail offering.

Occupying approximately 2,000 sq ft on the ground floor, plus storage, the new store is ideally positioned close to JD, Primark, Costa, Jack Wills, F Hinds, New Look and the new and improved Trespass. The store looks incredible and is a brilliant addition to the tenant mix.

We are delighted to have acted on behalf of the landlord in this letting, working closely with the team at Praxis Group. A huge thank you to Matt Taylor at Sence RPC and everyone involved on both sides for helping to get the deal over the line so smoothly.

We are delighted to announce the opening of our client’s Traid latest fashion store on Tooting High Street.

Sitting close to Tooting Broadway Station and Tooting Market, the new store sits in a busy location and comprises approximately 2,700 sq ft in total. It looks fantastic with the transformation sensational.

Traid have been operating since 1999 and now trade from thirteen shops across Greater London including locations such as Camden, Peckham, Brixton, Westbourne Grove, Clapham and Kilburn. Traid is a UK based award winning environmental and anti-poverty charity that collects and curates second-hand clothing. The proceeds help fund global projects and support people working within the fashion industry. By giving pre-loved garments a new lease of life, Traid helps prevent clothing from going to landfill or incineration, while reducing the demand for newly manufactured clothing.

Andrew Shepherd, who conducted the negotiations on behalf of Traid, commented: “We have worked with Traid for many years and identified Tooting as a suitable area for a store. We are pleased to have assisted with the acquisition of this site and wish them every success.”

We are pleased to advise that our clients Cards Direct have recently opened two more units, the first in Swansea and the second in Oldham.

The Swansea store is the former Holland & Barrett close to the main city centre bus station in prime Quadrant Centre and the Oldham unit sits on the prime mall being the former Bodycare within The Spindles Shopping Centre.

Cards Direct are closing in on the 100 store milestone and with more opening planned before Xmas and into 2027 they will achieve this soon.

Acting on behalf of our long-term client Traid, the award winning charity, we have successfully negotiated a lease renewal on their store at 70/72 Kilburn High Road.

This is a store which Andrew Shepherd, Director of AS Retail, acquired for Traid originally in 2010 during the time of their wider expansion during the time of the banking crisis; this is the second lease renewal we have concluded on the property for them demonstrating our commitment to long-term relationships with our clients.

The store has consistently been a strong performer for our clients and we thrilled to have negotiated a new 5 year lease working with Anthony Williams at Four Prop who advised the landlord.

Our relationship with Traid is one of many where we’ve been able to support clients across the property lifecycle — from agency and acquisitions through to portfolio optimisation and lease advisory.

We’re delighted to announce that AS Retail acted on behalf of STRONG Pilates on their new 3,000 sq ft site at Charter Quay, Kingston upon Thames which has now signed and fit out commenced.

STRONG are one of the most exciting boutique health and fitness brands globally right now with a worldwide roll out underway. They are more than just Pilates, it’s a unique instructor-based workout experience that fuses Pilates, Cardio and Strength all into one full body burn, all set within a very cool studio environment.

More information on the brand can be found on their UK website www.strongpilates.co.uk and their entry into Kingston further strengthens the leisure and wellness offering in the town. This marks STRONG Pilates’ 14^th UK studio with other locations including Wandsworth, Fulham, Ealing, Oxford, Brighton, Nottingham and Birmingham.

The newest Jetts Fitness club has officially opened on Mile End Road, Stepney Green in East London – the first club to open in East London and 25^th UK wide.

The highly impressive 8,000 sq ft facility is set over ground floor, mezzanine and lower ground floor, showcasing the very best of the Jetts offer, featuring world-class equipment, expansive functional and strength training zones, and the popular J-Series fitness classes.

Andrew Shepherd, director at AS Retail who conducted the negotiations on behalf of Jetts  commented “As with all Jetts clubs, they are designed bespoke to the location and to complement the specific features of the building whilst remaining on brand; there is no ‘cookie cutter’ approach and the design team have excelled themselves in creating the perfect environment to fit this space. With the West Ealing club in build out, Stratford and Nailsea clubs exchanged plus works due to start on another four more clubs in the next month, including the first Jetts in Wales, plus more in the pipeline it’s going to be a busy H2 for Jetts but we are still actively seeking further opportunities of between 5,000 and 10,000 sq ft. Priority locations include Greater London, the Home Counties, the South East, the M4 Corridor, the East and West Midlands, and Yorkshire. Acting on behalf of the landlord, AS Retail have successfully re-let the former Shuropody in Salisbury to catering brand IRO Sushi.

Nestled between M&S and Pret on New Canal and forming part of the Old George Mall ownership, the unit comprises approx. 1,000 sq ft ground floor with a first floor area which will be converted for extra seating.

IRO are the 5^th occupier to join the scheme in recent weeks following hot on the heals of Rituals and Skechers who have taken prime retail units as well as independent brands Susbu Café and Fluid Barbers who have taken kiosk units at the High Street and Catherine Street entrances respectively.

Established in 2014, IRO Sushi now have over 30 units and has built a strong reputation for bringing fresh, made-to-order Japanese cuisine to local communities across London and the South of England.

Acting on behalf of a long-standing Institutional client, AS Retail are pleased to confirm that we have concluded a lease on Ascot High Street to Gould Barbers.

Gould are one of the leading barbering chains in the country operating for some 25 years and approaching 50 salons. They have taken a new long-term lease on the former Cliff Roe Sports at Unit 3, 49 High Street close to Costa, Tesco Express, Guinot and a host of other independent brands with a ground floor sales area of approx.. 860 sq ft and a mezzanine of circa 200 sq ft.
