Our clients Jetts Fitness have opened their latest studio at The Meads Shopping Centre in Farnborough.

Arranged over Ground and First Floor, the 7,500 sq ft studio has a new 24 Hour access, parking validation at the centre car park as well as two extended frontages into the mall and signage onto the inner ring road.

The studio looks fantastic with an amazing fit out and state of the art equipment. We wish Brad and Steve plus the rest of the Farnborough team every success.

AS Retail are actively seeking new studios for Jetts for 2020 and 2021 opening. We are looking for sites ideally of 6,000 – 8,000 sq ft, they can be over multiple levels which have or can obtain 24 hour D2 use.  Areas of particular interest are Greater London, the Home Counties, South East England, West Yorkshire / Leeds suburbs and the West Midlands. We are very excited for our client Static’s first Studio to open its doors in Embassy Gardens, Nine Elms. After their recent soft opening, the team at Static are all set for their grand opening in the New Year.

Static is a new indoor cycling experience, energising the body and mind. The State-of-the-art Studio is equipped with amazing technology and acoustics for a phenomenal ride.

Sports Direct alongside sister brands Flannels and USC have signed to take the former BHS unit at The Cascades Shopping Centre in Portsmouth.

The store totals approximately 150,000 sq ft of space with two trading levels and a double-height frontage overlooking the new central breakthrough area.

They will commence fit-out in March 2020 with a planned opening in May.

We are excited to have acted for our client, Electronic Theatre, in the acquisition of their first site in London’s Southbank. Situated on Scoresby Street, close to Southwark and Waterloo stations in a redeveloped Railway Arch, the unit is arranged over a single level, comprising of 2,125 sq ft.

We are delighted to announce that Jetts 24 Hour Fitness have now opened their latest UK studio on Clapham Road in South London. The fantastic club is the second in London and is located in a prominent location a short walk from Stockwell Underground Station and totals approx. 5,686 sq ft over two levels.

Jetts are one of the Globe‘s most recognisable Gym chains, founded in 2007 in Australia, the brand is now boasting over 250 clubs and are represented in Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Netherlands and the UK. With the latest addition to their portfolio, Jetts have now eight studios in the UK and have plans for an extensive roll-out over the next few years.

We are proud to have advised Gong Cha, one of the globe’s leading bubble tea brands on their latest acquisition on 78 Market Street in Manchester. The prominent 688 sq ft corner unit is located on Manchester’s busiest shopping street, provides Gong Cha with a flagship site and was secured on a new ten-year lease.

Gong Cha was founded in 2006 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan and is now represented in more than 20 countries with over 1,500 outlets across Asia, Australia, New Zealand and the USA.

AS Retail are retained by Gong Cha to assist with their expansion and are actively seeking new sites in London, Trafford Centre, Birmingham, Liverpool, Leeds, Sheffield, Birmingham and other major cities for 2020 acquisitions of ideally between 300-1,200 sq ft.

AS Retail are delighted to have been appointed by Capreon to act as leasing agent on their holdings in Farnborough.

The majority of the asset sits on Queensmead in the heart of the town centre, stretching almost the full length of the primary high street comprising 28 units and totalling approximately 70,000 sq ft of retail accommodation. The tenant line-up includes a mix of household names including Peacocks, Ryman, Shoe Zone and Lloyds Bank coupled with a number of excellent local and independent businesses.

The instruction also includes the former Nat West Bank on Victoria Road which is likely to be a re-configuration to provide two units suitable for catering, financial, health and beauty or other destinational uses.

Farnborough is an upwardly mobile town in Hampshire with significant population growth expected over the next few years and major inward investment from a number of private and public bodies. Capreon have recently commenced a refurbishment of their asset including refreshing the elevations and canopies which will elevate the appeal of the location.
